TNP June Update

June 1, 2016 Regional Representative Update

Please feel free to share the following information with the local affiliates that are in your area.

1. Fall Conference Registration is now open. Take advantage of early pricing discounts by registering by July 31. Also, be sure to sign up for membership as you will save significantly on registration as well as receive benefits all year long. To register, please go to www.texasnp.org.

2. The TNP President (Jan Zdanuk), staff (Emily Eastin and Erin Cusack) and lobbyist (Casey Haney) attended the recent APRN Alliance meeting in May. The APRN Alliance was formed in the fall of 2015 and includes the following organizations Texas Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurses Association, Consortium of Texas Certified Nurse-Midwives, Texas Clinical Nurse Specialist and Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists. The leaders of this organization meet on a quarterly basis and staff meets monthly.

3. Important updates about the Board of Nursing Sunset process, policy and legislative updates are provided to TNP members on a regular basis. If you are not member, join online at texasnp.org. TNP has a goal of reaching 5,000 members by January 1, but we will need your help in order to achieve this goal.
